Diatex S.p.A., italian manufacturer of diamond tools for ceramics, developed a range of products named ECO-friendly, aimed at reducing environmental pollution and reducing waste of materials.

Each common diamond tool is made of synthetic diamond and a bond that, being a mixture of metallic powders, includes (also) cobalt, copper and nickel. These components, if dispersed in the environment, can pollute the soil and the aquifers: the tool indeed, while working, wears out and releases some particles of its components in the cooling water and, as a consequence, in the mud resulting from the processing.

It’s impossible to separate those microparticles from the muds, neither chemically or mechanically, so the only way to reduce environmental pollution is to use a tools that does not contain these components. ECO-friendly line, completely cobalt/copper/nickel/molibden/etc free, was designed to be environmental-oriented, allowing:

  • Excellent quality during the processing
  • Same duration as regular diamond tools
  • 100% recyclable muds
  • Saving money since muds don’t have to be disposed and can be used again in tile production cycle

Muds, if not contaminated by polluting materials, can be dried and deprived of iron in order to be recycled without causing any chemical reaction while firing.

In its ECO-friendly range Diatex includes:

  • Wet squaring wheels
  • Cutting discs for porcelain
  • Spiral rollers for tiles calibration

The constant commitment in developing innovative tools allowed Diatex to be on top between ceramic diamond tools manufacturers, showing persistent dedication towards improving the environment and the quality of work.

And this is possible because for Diatex Made in Italy is a must.
